Shifting your story

​A couple of days ago I went for a walk in the woodlands. I was feeling deeply tired and had some doubts about an important decision I needed to make.

Walking in nature helps me ground myself, find inner clarity and always recharges my batteries. It's been raining for days here in Belgium and while most people long for the sun, I adore this weather. The gentle sound of the summer rain has a soothing effect on me.
So, while I was walking and embracing the peace, this bright orange lily winked at me through the foliage. This is a rare find in these parts so she really stood out.

Something about her fiery brightness amidst all the greys and greens ignited a surge of vitality, optimism and creativity in me.
The night after that walk, I slept like a baby for the first time in days. The next day, I felt rested and clear about what choice to make, which path to follow.

I got out of my own way. Gained clarity, inspiration and from there, I took action.

That is how I believe we can shift our story.
